truthful, lived up to its expectations for a small-budget indie film, with little to no dialogue but with scenes that create anticipation and urge for catharsis.

I wanted a fairer ending for Rosita too!

A Kid Like Jake review

Really good acting in here. Felt very real and honest. The struggle the parents face seems like is researched and worked on by the screenwriter and the actors. Not the cheap and easy drama you'd imagine.

The interaction between the two friends, Doris and Roz, was enjoyable to watch. But other than that the film was weak with the character development and the justification of their actions.

Even with a kind of unique for a romantic-comedy-drama film topic, I' ve become really bored of this "boring-unintresting-but-kind guy meets his manic pixie dream girl" theme. At least here she gets to be a bit more developed as a character.

It wasn't a Bad movie,I just felt that I had seen this story and these characters before, and this was a little bit boring! however the cast consisted by young and fresh people and the whole film had a joyful atmosphere!
